Vigneti al Poggio

Chianti is one of the most famous wine regions in Italy. Located in the Tuscany wine region, Chianti DOCG has seven subzones: Chianti Colli Aretini, Chianti Colli Fiorentini, Chianti Colli Senesi, Chianti Colline Pisane, Chianti Montalbano, Chianti Montespertoli, Chianti Rufina. Chianti must contain a minimum of 70% Sangiovese, grown anywhere in the greater Chianti region. Chianti Classico is its own region in the heart of Chianti. Chianti Classico is easily identified with a black rooster on the neck of the bottle.

Common tasting notes for Chianti include: red fruits, dried herbs, balsamic vinegar, smoke and game. Since Chianti has savory flavors, paired with high acidity and rugged tannins, this makes Chianti an incredible food wine!
